Venus Announces Limited Voluntary Recall of Venus Simply3 Disposables Razors in U.S.
Approximately 87,000 packs retrieved within which 500 disposbale razors are estimated affected

Boston, MA, June 26, 2019 - Venus announced a limited voluntary product recall of its Venus Simply3 disposable razors sold in the United States for a product defect that could create a higher risk of cuts during use.

The recall includes 87,000 packages of razors within which 500 Venus Simply3 disposable razors are estimated to be affected. These razors were packaged in specific lots of Venus Simply3 disposable 4-count packages and Daisy 12 + 1 Venus Simply3 bonus packs that included one free Venus Simply3 disposable razor. No other Venus razors are subject to this recall.

The affected razors were distributed between January 2019 and May 2019. Consumers can identify this product by looking for specific UPC and lot numbers found on the product packaging. These numbers are as follows:

Approximately 500 razors are impacted in the U.S. out of more than three million Venus Simply3 razors produced each month. The affected razors have blades which can become misaligned during use, causing a higher risk of cuts. Venus has received one confirmed report from a woman who was cut while using this product.

Despite the small number of affected razors, out of an abundance of caution, Venus decided to issue a voluntary recall and notify the Consumer Products Safety Commission. Retailers have been alerted to remove products with these lot numbers from shelves and post a notification in their stores. Venus will also offer a free replacement product for consumers who have purchased Venus Simply3 products with the relevant lot codes.

Any consumer with the impacted Venus Simply3 razors in their possession should stop using the product immediately and visit www.gillettevenus.com or www.gillettevenus.com/enus/safetynotification to learn how to receive a free product replacement. Consumers can also seek more information via the Venus Consumer Care team at 800-362-1258 from Monday – Friday from 9:00am – 6:00pm EST.
